Expiration of Classified Ads
If allowed by classifieds software admin, user can choose the number of days before the ad will expire.
Automatic email notification to users notifying them that their ad is about to expire.

Expired classified ads and photos automatically purge from the database after 30 days.
BENEFIT: Keeps the server size down to a minimum.
User can view their expired classified ads in their personal password-protected user account.
BENEFIT: Gives them yet another opportunity to renew their classified ads and pay you a renewal fee.
Classified Ads are removed from active status by either the user, or automatically upon expiration of ad. All photos will remain associated with the ad for 30 days, after which time they will be stripped and the ad is archived.
Classifieds software allows admin to manually restart ads after expiration.

Ad renewal process that allows the seller to relist their ad, submit payment, and add new features.
BENEFIT: Not only can they renew their ad for a fee, they can add more features to it for additional fees.
Email Alert Feature (Ad Filters)
Valuable feature that allows buyers to set up personal search criteria so that when an ad is placed by a seller that meets the buyer's search criteria, an immediate and automatic email notification is sent out to the buyer with a link back to the ad. The buyer may select which categories to filter and/or keywords that will be used to search the title and description of all newly placed classified ads.
BENEFIT:Keeps users coming back forever, or until they remove the filter from their account.
Users can set up as many search filters as they would like.
Users can log in to their personal account to view and delete their current ad filters.
Personal Messaging System
Messaging system that logs messages from other users. Allows for public and private messaging. The user has two options to communicate with other users.
"Public Communication" exposes the user's email address to other users and allows email exchange.
"Private Communication" allows the users to communicate with each other through the GeoClassifieds messaging system, but not through email. Users will login to receive and reply to all communications.
Ability to force users to log in before they can contact the seller of an item. Allows only registered users to be able to contact sellers.
Admin can select to have a blind copy of all "notify friend" and "contact seller" messages sent to the admin as well.
BENEFIT: Allows you to secretly monitor all communications that are sent within the communications system.
Search & Browsing Capabilities
Ability to deactivate the standard search page and insert your own customized search page.
BENEFIT: Set up the Search Page to look any way you want.
Advanced Search page allows for searches by category, subcategory, keyword, titles & descriptions, titles only, descriptions only, whole word matches, partial word matches, price range, and by ad number.
An enhanced search is available while browsing categories or classified ads. In this case, category specific questions become searchable values.
"NEW" ad icon is displayed next to categories and subcategories when an ad has been placed within a time period specified by the admin. Admin can designate their own icon. This helps visitors find classified ads that have recently been placed on the site.
Search by businesses or individuals.
Classified Software allows user to browse recently placed classified ads posted in the last 24 hrs, one week, two weeks or three weeks.
Browse results tables can be sorted by clicking on the appropriate columns header. For example, Titles can be sorted alphabetically, or Prices can be sorted numerically, etc. Additionally, if you use Site Wide Optional Fields, those fields can be placed within browsing tables and sorted as well.
Ability to reverse sort desired columns.
Included Quicksearch box can be conveniently placed anywhere and on any php page. Module allows for search by keyword and category.
Sophisticated "Search Filters" turn normal browsing results tables into dynamic results tables by essentially weeding out ads that do not fit that "filter" criteria. Administrator generated filter drop-down boxes dynamically repopulate as the user clicks on each one and then search results are delivered.
Browsing State Filter allows visitors to weed out ads from a results table by selecting a state from a dropdown menu.
Browsing Zip Code Filter allows visitors to weed out ads from a results table by selecting a zip code from a dropdown menu. This is NOT the ZipSearch module. The ZipSearch Module is an add-on feature which allows users to perform a proximity search based upon the zip code they enter.
Ability for users to find and print out the location of an item through MapQuest with the click of a button located on the ad display page.
