Ad Display Preferences & Features
Optional display of a "splash page" when user goes to place an ad.
BENEFIT: Can be used to advertise another product, review a price plan, etc. This splash page can be different for each User Group.

Rich Text Editor allows your customers the ability to customize their ad descriptions with headings, fonts, colors, italics, bolding, underlines, justification, copying, pasting, etc...

Optional display of "sponsored by" html within the ad display page. For example, an area of your ad display template can be used to display a sponsor's banner ad using this feature. Can be different for each User Group.

Ability to ask specific questions (fields) during place an ad process, based upon that user's User Group.
BENEFIT: Allows you to personal the Place an Ad process based upon specific User Groups.

Font variables and display settings are unique for each page of the site and therefore allow for optional settings for the same item on each page.

Allow sellers to select from a predetermined dropdown list the number of days they want to post their ad. Charge them based upon the length of time they choose.

Turn on/off the ad counter on the front page for each category.

Turn on/off the ad counter on the sub pages for each subcategory.

Monitor and track each seller's ads and transactions through the user section of the admin.

Populate your own states/provinces dropdown box.

Populate your own countries dropdown box.

Multiple ways for admin to display the ad tables while browsing. For example, admin can show certain columns category by category. Or, admin can show the Title and Description together or separate…etc.

Intelligent thumbnail scaling. The thumbnail size will be controlled from within the admin tool.
BENEFIT: Gives you control over the resolution of uploaded images so that you can reduce the file sizes and conserve server space without substantially sacrificing image quality.

Control the size of thumbnails displayed while browsing. Featured ad thumbnails can be different size than Newest ad thumbnails.
BENEFIT: Gives your site a nice appearance and draws more attention to the Feature Ads.

Admin can allow the seller to use html to place their ad.
BENEFIT: Shows off the flexibility in ad placement that you are willing to give your customers.

Optionally show start and expiration dates within ad display.

Clickable seller link for buyers to contact the seller easily.

Sellers can upload up to the max number of photos that the admin has defined.

Seller can input a title to each photo uploaded. For example in the Real Estate category the seller may want to label their photos: Master Bedroom, Entry Hallway, Brick Fireplace, etc.

Admin can control the image file types allowed as well as maximum size of the uploaded image. Mime type tool allows the Admin to upload an example file of the one they want to allow. The system will recognize that file type and then allow that file type to be uploaded by site visitors. The admin can also designate an 'icon' to be associated with each file type. For example, if a visitor uploads a 'Word' document, the 'Word' icon would then appear in the ad.
BENEFIT: This allows you to use the software for a variety of different industries. For instance you can offer a typical classifieds site where users upload images of their items, or you can offer a Job Listing Engine where visitors can upload .pdf or MS Word documents of their resumes.

Seller has the ability to log in and modify their ad's title, description, photos, and even the category the item is located in.
BENEFIT: Frees you up to concentrate on other areas of your site.

Admin can optionally force sellers to place their ads in the lowest possible subcategory.
BENEFIT: Since ad results filter upstream through the Category structure, forcing users to place ads at the lowest level subcategory makes your site's ad results tables appear to be more populated.

Admin can limit the number of characters that can be used in the ad.

Bad word filter screens ads for admin defined "bad words" and replaces them with a substitute word.
BENEFIT: Keeps you from having to constantly screen ads for questionable language.

Long word filter screens ads for words that have exceeded the admin defined maximum character limit.

Preview feature allows users to preview the contents of their ad and then make any necessary changes before actually placing the ad.

GeoClassifieds automatically assigns a unique ad number and URL to each posted ad. This allows sellers to advertise and give out their ad number to site visitors who have the ability to search by ad number.
BENEFIT: Increased site traffic potential since users can "link to" and distribute their ad's URL to friends, etc.

A "My Favorites" page is offered to users who want to bookmark certain items for later viewing. When selected the item is added and saved to their "my favorites" list for quick reference.

Each ad has a "times viewed" counter which indicates the number of times that item has been viewed by site visitors.

"Thank You" email sent to user when an ad is successfully (active/live/approved if necessary after payment) placed. Can be turned off in admin. The information will contain basic information about the ad.

All emails sent to users are customizable within the page administration provided by the admin facility.

Admin can strip HTML from ads by choosing the tags you want removed within the "allowed html" section of the admin tool.
BENEFIT: Reduces the chances of someone entering code that can potentially conflict with the software's code when displaying the ad.
Popup window for ad images on ad display page can be html template based and allow for you to designate a horizontal and vertical size (in pixels) greater than the size of the image.

Admin can implement up to 20 Site Wide Fields to be used on the during ad placement. These fields can be used to ask the seller various questions about the item for sale. If the seller fills in a question, it will be displayed on the Ad Display Page.

Seller can input a title to each photo uploaded. For example in the Real Estate category the seller may want to label their photos: Master Bedroom, Entry Hallway, Brick Fireplace, etc.

Ability to automatically display a "NEW" image next to each category and subcategory when an ad has been placed in that category within a certain time period designated by the admin.
BENEFIT: Keeps visitors coming back and targeting certain categories when they know that new ads have been entered in those categories.
Allow users to place up to three URL's within their ad display page. These URL's become hyperlinked on the ad display page and can be named something other than the URL path. For example, the user can type in "My Home Page" as the hyperlink and then designate it to point to any URL desired.

Admin can allow users to have their personal affiliates page, which displays only that user's ads. The user has their own unique url to their ads on your site and can post that url on their own site to redirect their visitors to their personal "storefront". The affiliate has the ability to load their own html to their personal affiliates page.
