The Zip / Postal Code Search Addon is a versatile search tool that allows your customers to process dynamic zip (postal) code searches. It allows your site visitors to search and retrieve results for ads or auctions based upon a zip (postal) code and specified search radius that they enter. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Geodesic Solutions redistributes the U.S. Zip Code database with this addon by default. The Zip / Postal Code Search Addon uses the Zip/Postal Code, Latitude, and Longitude of each zip code to build the table in the database. Therefore, the Postal Code data for ANY COUNTRY can conceivably be used with the Zip / Postal Code Search Addon if you can source the Postal Code, Latitude, and Longitude for your country. The Addon installs easily into your GeoClassifieds or GeoAuctions programs and offers the following flexibility:

1. It will appear on your search page as a searchable field.

2. It can be used with the Enterprise Edition's "Zip Filter", which allows your visitors to filter the entire site's listings based upon the Zip / Postal Code they choose. (see below)

3. You can set up your own html driven search forms and have the Zip / Postal Code field as part of your form.

NOTE: This Zip / Postal Code Search Addon is compatible with postal codes from other countries. However, you would need source the postal code data for your country in order for it to work with the Zip / Postal Code Search Addon. Contact us for more details.

The following image shows how the Zip / Postal Code Search Addon can also be used with the software's Zip Filter Module (Enterprise Editions only) on your site. This filter allows your visitors to specify their zip (postal) code from the dropdown and then a radius (miles or kilometers) to search. Once selected, the screen then refreshes and the software will only display listings that meet the filter's new criteria.
