2 bugs that were found in the image optimization module have been fixed.
1.) PHP4 specific syntax Error
Cause: unsupported template syntax in admin templates
Solution: Change syntax when parsing admin template
2.) Gif images mangled when watermarked
Cause: Limitation in GD 2.0 when manipulating GIF images
Solution: Gif images are converted to Jpeg before watermarking.
If you have purchaced or been provided this product from us, please download the new version.
There is no need to go through the whole installation process again. Simply upload the addon files to the proper directory, then go to "Addon Management" in your administrative control panel and click the upgrade link. No database changes are required for these fixes.
These fixes have been tested and found to work. If any other bugs or issues are discovered, please send them to support@interactivevillages.com and we will address them.

We've made a lot of headway on porting our 2.x modules to the 3.x Addon architecture. You can get a deliverables update at http://interactivevillages.com/whatsup/ . We are also planning some quite cool new Addons as well.
As you may know, the Addon system introduced by Geodesic with the 3.x architecture allows you to easily install and maintain additional functions developed by Geo as well as third-party developers such as Interactive Villages. It is similar in nature to the plug-in systems used by other software vendors such as Adobe. We find it to be an excellent way to provide easy to install features to the core Geodesic products.
