    Default Registration issue

I installed the 3.0.1 update yesterday and it disabled the registration process. I have unhappy customers, so could you please debug this problem and fix the update as soon as possible?

For something like this, you'll need to start a support ticket so that someone in support can look into it further.

It may be something as simple as a configuration change in the admin. If it was caused by a bug, it would have most likely been reported before now, since 3.0.1 has been released for more than a week now.

Either way though, the support staff will be able to look into it for you and determine what is causing the problem. Be sure to supply FTP and admin access to ensure the fastest resolution time, along with as much information about what is happening as possible.

Thanks for your reply, I filed the support ticket five hours ago and have not received a response yet, so the site registration remains disabled. I made no adjustments to the site other than installing the update, which is what leads me to believe it caused the problem. I had a similar registration problem with the system when I installed 3.0.0RC2.

I looked back through my support file, and the registration problem I encountered with RC2 required adjusting the smtp settings in the email notification area of admin to prevent the time out that was crashing the php registration and listing scripts.

Looks to me like that setting didn't change when I installed the 3.0.1 update, so if the setting needs to be changed, could you post the correction here?

    It's current setting is: relay-hosting.secureserver.net

I looked in the ticket system and found 1 ticket about registration problems, if this is your ticket the problem was that one of the files was corrupted, probably because it did not upload completely. I went ahead and re-uploaded the corrupted file, and registration is working for that site now. If this is not you, can you give the ticket # for your ticket?

    Many thanks!

I'll follow up on this by looking at my ftp logs to see if the server timed out during installation or if there's some other identifiable issue that caused the file to be incomplete.
