Looking for Estimates to Develop an eBay Site Template

Wow, that much just for template changes? That seems quite steep to me even if they are for just design changes and no functionality, although I don't know what was included in the price quote so maybe. Which designers have you talked to already, have you tried contacting any on geoaddons.com yet?

most of the people who own this script want to have a professional template
and there is not many developer who want to develop a good preofessional template

the similar script (like php probid) has some professional templates and owners can choice one of them

it is very big and important problem for the script owners, many script owners have many functionalities but with a very simple default template

you can order a designer to develop some good professional template and give it free or sell as addons
also I am sure many people want to be a sponsor for the template
but you must be a leader for this project

it is really needed for many people in this forum

the new template can be like ebay or alibaba.com or similar to other famous classifieds and auctions websites

also the storefront templates needed, also you can give some storefront templates free or sell them as addon
the storefront templates can be alibaba.com storefronts ( sample http://haowang.en.alibaba.com/ )

your script is very well and after 6.1 it will be better
but without a professional template we cant have a good website even if we have many functionalities

Use http://99designs.com/ and you will get many artists designing your site.

Request you want...
1) A front page
2) a browse page
3) ads page.

So your only getting 3 pages made. When you pick the winner.... now you just have someone convert it to HTML CSS
and when they convert you tell them no Jquery making it easier to bring into geodesic. Make menus css any animation make it with prototype

Now your not coping no one and your getting a original template the look you want. Do not copy any one or you will just get sued and create more stress in your life then you need. When you have the css and html code it is much more affordable to get a developer to bring it into geodesic. This will save you on costs. It is far easier to change images then it is to change the code over and over which would cost you more.

To have all the features ebay has then you need to higher all of geodesic programmers and geomodules programmer and more.... *smile* Ebay has and army of programmers. When they first started they did not have everything they have now. You try put all the features ebay has you will putting 8 mortgages on your homes. LOL....

You can also PICK UP A TEMPLATE that is affordable at GEOMODULES HERE or at BLUEFYRE HERE Then you can edit it yourself or pay a developer to make some changes which will save you money. Changes on templates like colors for example are very quick to change being they are made with css.

As for probid I took a look at the program. Quite a few clients have switched from probid to geodesic because of the coding in the back end. They make it look pretty but the code that the general user does not see is terrible. They had to switch because of many issues with slow downs and more.

Let me step in and say that after many less then satisfactory experiences with many other scripts , and hundres if not thousands of dollars down the drain not counting the ammount of time wasted on them , that Geo really is Definetely the best , yes there are minor details that can be improved and im sure that they will ,

Ladies and Gents what we fail to forget is that the Big sites that we are comparing our script to , Namely Ebay, Etsy , Alibaba Kijiji and alll the others have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in Development and Design to accomplish where they are today ,

So lets give the guys at Geo , Kudos for accomplishing what they have so far , and for the great Support that they provide.
