Hi,

Your script (enterprise classified) is almost what I'm looking for.

So I am curious about possibilities for add-ons & suggestions -

For real estate purposes - having a google map over each locality that shows all listings is really a must in this day & age. It would also be useful to business directories, etc.

A nearby listings block at the bottom would also be helpful.

An expanded profile would be necessary for real estate as well - photo, contact info, if an agent (company logo, etc.) Also, this would be helpful for the auction sites, as people what to see who/what they are dealing with.

Also, an ad generator tool would be fantastic - It's an html generation of the listing that a user can post on craigslist and other places. Since your script offers a formatted print version of the listing, this would be easy to implement.

I've been researching many different portals for my real estate site that I am developing - PG Real Estate Solution, Flynax, eDirectory and I think yours may come closest to what I am looking for, but some of the above features would need to be available. I could pay for custom development, but I think these are features that people would want as add-ons, and you would recoup any costs from development.

I would really like to hear your thoughts on all of this -

Additionally, layout control over the listing details page (move blocks around, etc.)
and the search results/category page (grid based or list based)

Whoops - and one more thing - filtering capablity of search results/category listings -

There should be some type of filtering capability as set by admin - real estate example - bedrooms, lot size, square footage, etc.
The trick with any database/directory site is getting people to the information they want quickly. Studies show that people won't look through pages and pages of data, they will abandon their search and go elsewhere - so filtering is incredibly neccessary.

For all of these, I would pay for development as add-ons - or if a developer wanted to create an all-in-one package (for real estate) send me an email - jason at lotsandplots dot com

and one more feature - direct urls.

A listing would have it's canonical url - http://geodesicsolutions.com/demo/category/224/Single-Family-Home/listings/111/Beautiful-Home-Needs-a-Family.html
and a direct url based upon it's unique id number - http://geodesicsolutions.com/xxxxxx

This allows for simple sharing so users can market their listings outside of the directory.
