the referrer gets a credit for a free add posting-

I have 1 issue, how to prevent abuse, any ideas?

This would is a great idea!!! I thought about this 4 years ago when I started creating my site. I cannot beleive Geo has not implemented this in ENterprise at least.... These is a local site in my area (not Geo based) that uses a referal system like this and it works great for them. They give every registered user their own referal link with a reference number, the send it to friends, if their friend(s) click it and register they get a credit, the credits add up and go towards discounts on upgrades on the site. I used it and in less than 1 year I earned a premium user account that gave me everything free. Again, a great idea and way to attract new users... people need incentive!

I have a "refer a friend" page where the user can enter multiple email addresses of their friends and for each one that registers they receive a listing token.
I've got a question in the signup process "your mates username" where they can put their friends site username in and I then manually add the token to that users account once the registration is complete.

autobits.co.nz -- I like the manual approach idea.... it is something I may also add to my site.. but if it there was an automatic wait with could be done via a feature in Geo-Desc or via an addon that would be cool.
