yeah you have a good point... I have read alot on it I signed up and looked at it. I had alot of escorts and money scams join. Seems like more work though with having to update it all the time. I do not think it is for everyone though.
one of the best things about Twitter is that they have a very extensive API, so you can write scripts to do almost anything. For instance, when we make a blog post, our Twitter feed will automatically update with a link to the new post (though I think there is still a bug or two to work out in that)
Beyond that, it's a quick and easy way to get a glimpse of a side of Geo you might not otherwise see. The intent of Twitter is to be a relatively casual conversation medium, so while following us, you might learn about new releases a bit before they drop...or you might just find out what we're having for lunch...or maybe a bit of both. Either way, it should be at least mildly amusing.

Another unique thing about Twitter is that you don't have to create bi-directional relationships like with facebook or myspace. In other words, just because the spammers are following you doesn't mean you have to follow them back -- and if you don't follow them, their scams won't show up in your feed. Just ignore them and you won't ever see or hear anything from them.
For everyone? No. For us? Maybe...we'll find out soon enough! ;)

So is it possible to code something into Geo to pull a feed into GeoClass? I have a feed coming into another site of mine and it works great. I think that would be a great addon. Hint! Hint! I'm a network engineer and not a coder so it took me a bit to get the feed working on my site so working it into Geo would be suicide for me. Any ideas of doing this? Maybe be able to twitter new ad's to our followers? That could be a good marketing tool. Just a suggestion.
yeah, you could certainly do that, though it'd take some programming knowledge. You'd basically need an addon that watches for listing to go live on the site and then sends a call to Twitter's API to post a new message to your twitter feed.

What Matt said.
Just wanted to add, we might be able to create a "notify twitter" custom addon for you, if you are interested send an e-mail to sales@geodesicsolutions.com for a price quote.

I have not tried this yet but it should work in theory: use the RSS feature of Geo create an RSS feed, then use a site like http://rsstotwitter.com or http://twitterfeed.com to create a tweet when the feed updates.

I use both orkut and facebook but not for social networking purpose
Orkut - communities. Some of them are like the hub but most of them are like rediff boards. Nalla timepass. I rarely post.
Facebook - Applications.

I added you re @GoodiesWanted ...also I co-own a business social network that we had coded so it would tweet to your account once you placed an ad on our homepage.
It only cost us 70 bucks from a very good coder and he did it in about two hours.
He is adding a feature to my site once it's up this weekend, (buying the license on Friday for the GeoClassAuctions Enterprise Edition v5) ... so that when a user places an ad, they will be able to add their twitter account info (API) and it will tweet their ads the moment it goes live.
There are thousands of reasons why this is important, and one of them is the moment you have a FULL TIME client that is selling their products from your site just like Ebay - the traffic to the site will become so viral it beat out most PPC programs. (pay per click)
I have over 6000 followers on twitter, and got them all in less than two years period just from using viral programs, and once the site is up - one tweet to my followers will put the site in the engines at no cost to me.
Adding a twitter option to the script would probably be a big hit, it's not about the webmaster liking it, its about the users liking it.
Wishing everyone success :)
