For Entire Lot of 2
On a personal level I agree with this statement. I'm not much for expensive items, particularly those lacking practical value...but then I'm an extremely pragmatic individual. Before responding I actually dug deep to try and think, if I had endless money, what I would do with it that trumped the altruistic i.e. that was more important to me than simply donating it to charity. Above the charity line = private plane, yacht, fortress on the top of a peak in the alps with a beautiful vista, and protected by a small army of nameless henchmen along with an aligator mote...and maybe a slightly faster computer. Yea, pretty much the practical stuff. I really can't think of much I would buy strictly so I could have it and say look I own this aren't I cool? I'm not much for self-approval derived from the approval of others. Now I'm not saying that's the motivation of everyone who buys such things, but if the majority of folks are honest with themselves...yea, that's more than likely it. Caveat: and see I even thought of something that exceeds my "only if it's practical" thinking. Historical items. If I had something that was held by so-and-so at the battle of so-and-so a thousand years ago...alright ya got me, I'll plug down some loot.
